HTML help for my main page?

I have an account on go daddy. I deleted everything in the edit folder and then uploaded all my images and html documents. Now when i go to www.yousitehere.com it gives me an error but when i go to www.yoursitehere.com/somefile.html it goes. i want somefile.html to come up when i type in the main address. how do i do that
