htc wildfire and desire sim help?

hi

I currently have a blackberry 8520 but im looking to upgrade to ethier the wildfire or the desire
with my blackberry contract i have unlimited texts and 300 mins plus free interent but it is edge internet and i was wondering if my free internet would still work if i got one of these phone
