HTC rolling out Android 2.2(Sense)

euro desires are getting 2.2 sense as well as itunes sync and 720p recording. nice to see HTC isn't lagging behind with updates. do we even have 720p recording and itunes sync in stock froyo or cyanogen mod 6?

no itunes but 720p recording has already been available on the nexus and droid incredible. yeah, with the 2.2 update it just reassures htc's place as the best android phone manufacturer. much better than moto and better build quality than samsung. not even going to mention lg, dell or any other ones that i might be forgetting.
 
OK, confused now.... help please...

I read somewhere that the HTC Desire update that's out is not for locked to O2 or Vodaphone type phones - just for unlocked ones, but...

Although mine starts up with O2 screen it is unlocked (I can pop in a Vodaphone sim and it starts up fine) but with either sim in it won't find the 2.2 update as available?

What am I not doing right?

Just got this really 'helpful' reply from O2 -

"Thanks for your email about the release of the 2.2 Android.

I'm unable to comment on the release of the 2.2 Android but request you
to please contact your manufacturer that is HTC regarding this. You can
also visit the nearest O2 store and they'll be in a better position to
help you.

I hope your query will be resolved soon. If you should have any further
questions, please contact us or visit our online help centre."

Well that gets me a lot further forward!
 
And this today from HTC -

In regards to your last email you should get the update from 02 very soon when o2 have checked that there is no conflicts with there features they will send it out to there customers. but you may have to speak to there technical support team to see if you need to run a 02 sim card to get the update as in this case the update is sent to you buy the network.

.... and so we wait!!
