To be honest with you, both are very good choices. I would pick the Hero if you prefer to web browse, a larger screen or for what Android with Sense UI can do. To be honest with you, I got more reasons to pick the Hero over the Tour2 even though I use a Tour myself, and some of those reasons have to do with the nasty drawbacks Blackberry embedded on their architecture like limited internal memory. But the reason for using the Tour2 lies whether or not you want a physical keyboard, and if you really depend that much on email other than Gmail.
