HTC Hero or BB Storm 2

I want a reliable touch screen phone. I want it to last over a year. I'm going to try to keep most of my data usage on wifi. I'm pretty much stuck between these phones.
I am on Telus.
I prefer the Storm 2 because the camera has a flash.
I prefer the Hero because I can get on a cheap data plan just in case I cant get on wifi... and plus it would be on Telus' new HSPA network. (I hear great things about the cell radios in BBs though)
- hero... trackball will wear out?
I would be paying the same amount for either phone.

Ideas?

I would personally go for HTC Hero rather than BB Storm 2 despite that the phones don't differ much in specifications. The Storm 2 does feature a wider screen, but it's not pocketable. Also the Hero is one of the best Android phones ever made.

I go for blackberry storm, i personnally don't like either , but considering with each phone offers and that my hate towards HTC is the lack of quality, and Blackberry is just the price, i'd still consider blackberry Bold better, because for once blackberry managed to make a qwerty phone more quality like. HTC doesn't last long, 6 of my friend all have HTC, they love it, but they change HTCs every now and then because if a fonctionnal problem.

Go for the Blackberry Bold.

PS: Forgot to mention Telus in general is horrible service wise.

I have a HTC and I know what you mean about the bad quality, but I'm thinking they must have upped their quality with their newest phone right?

And Many people say to go for the bold but I cant stand the keyboard to be honest. Its uncomfortable to type on for me.

The S2 would be more reliable that the Hero?

I've reviewed both... get the Hero.

The Storm2 has an aging interface, and that push-down screen will drive you nuts for typing.

Quality on the Hero seems just fine. It's a solid shell, and it has an oil-resistant touchscreen -- that'll do wonders for keeping the screen smooth and (relatively) clean. Plus, Android actually has a larger app market and just seems much more designed for touch than BlackBerry OS.

Does the Hero have the option to turn data off? And can I monitor exactly how much data I am using?

I keep looking towards the storm 2 because of the reliability of BB devices (I want whichever phone I get to last me a longgg time) and noone really touts HTC's reliability. Also, the flash on the camera is a plus. You can actually take pictures at night .

But Android seems to be the new big thing right now and it has a huge following already.
