I noticed that the HTC hero is a brilliant phone but alot of people have noticed the mising text problem. It seems that at various times mostly evenings not all text get through and after researching lots of sites all the solutions and possible problems are wrong or don't work. The fact is the phone seems to turn off sms functions for some reason meaning txts are not pushed though. I have found a very easy solution which will follow in the answer..
The solution I found was that texts only seem to start going missing after 8pm, I have noticed that if I leave my text menu open and let the mobile go into standby mode the sms is never swiched off and no missing texts, I can even have that menu as a home page for easy access and keeping it awake. I have also switched off auto update for the time as this might also be using valuable phone memory which is why the phone feels the need to switch off sms. Also befor leaving messages please google the problem and see what others have said about this and you'll nothce this is so far the best solution. Thanks!
