HTC HERO full flash?

im not trying to take credit just trying to help the guy having data call failure issues. but then again, u are not the only one that know how to set up epst settings. if u really wanna go there the credit should actually goes to ryanmogul who posted the epst settings for windows mobile devices. from there it is not too hard to figure out how to transfer that to android.

LOLWUT

There are times to ask for credit, but this is definitely not one of those times. I noticed that you had the username as "[mdn]@mycricket.com" in there. Were you the first one to figure that out, or did someone who you didn't give credit to find it first?

has anyone had luck getting ppp config setting to stick.im still trying to get internet to work on htc hero.i heard if i put a cricket rom and flash it to the phone it would work.i have rooted the phone but canot find a rom ,and dont know how to build one.any help would be appreciated .and i will donate to appropriate builder.ty

Dude, are you guys freaking retarded?

The Hero is the easiest android phone to flash with working web. Well, that and the Eris.

btw- i was flashing the hero b4 anyone in here so credit goes to randomwit who posted on a private forums (in which i gave credit to people as well...i know spernine was doing it b4 me) and then credit goes to the guy that ripped my **** and posted it on mobile-files and then the crap just runs downhill from there

so, all-in-all no one deserves any credit on the HTC Hero except for to0 because he is doing something truly next level and the rest are just imitators

and yes, i can see his taint from here...get it? (cause i'm on his nuts)

and btw again- hofo is so full of noobs that the only thing i really enjoy doing here anymore is talking dookie to you

second that randomwit also it is one of the easieest andriod and to0 is right too you dont need no rom to get browser working so get your stuff right

WORKING!!!!

Not sure if it was something cricket did on their end but all of a sudden the data portion of my phone is working like a champ!!

Giving some props to whitey10tc :buddies: he directed me proper like without getting all nutted up and calling names like a freakin high schooler!

Has anyone tried to get mms working using this procedure?
Install APN Backup and restore from the Market
Backup the APN's to a file
Install some file manager
Edit the .xml backup file with the cricket mms settings.
Delete APN's from the phone
Restore your modified backup file to the phone

Not sure if this works because the phone I tried it on is a dealer line and I need to get the mms refreshed. Let us know if it works.
