HTC Eris Droid with an old memory card?

I just got an HTC Eris Droid through Verizon. It came with an 8gb memory card, but how do I transfer all the information from my old memory card onto this new phone? Do I have to just get an adapter for my computer and transfer it that way?
 
That would be the best way to do it. Or you could just hook up your old phone, copy the stuff you want to your computer, then hook ukp the Eris and copy it back.

Keep in mind that some stuff may not "play" on the Eris, like movies you recorded on your old phone, but music and pictures should be fine.

Be sure to put stuff in the appropriate places on the Eris. For example picures go in the DCIM folder, music in the music folder...
