HTC Droid Incredible Rooting question. Need to know asap?

So I was on my Incredible and on a black screen i noticed 10+ dead pixels. I got the phone 5 days ago and haven't gotten even ONE scratch on the screen. I need to take it to Verizon. But... About an hour before I rooted it. I found an article that teaches me to unroot. It says to flash a zip file in clockwork recovery. I can enter clockwork recovery from ROM Manager and I select choose zip from sd and it asks me if I want to install the zip file. Is installing the zip the same thing as flashing it? I really need to know. Thanks
