My g1 has started to turn the backlight off when closed- when i open it it stays off until i press end cal / menu a few times then it lights up. very annoying, it doesn't appear that it is damaged in anyway, and started happening after i downloaded something from marketplace. im assuming a software conflict so i un-installed all programs - this did not help. neither did standard factory reset
