Hi,

Just bought a HTC desire, read the manual but still have a couple of questions.

I created a new folder to put on my home screen, how can i delete that folder from the list of folders that i can add to the desktop ?

How do i create a folder in the main menu (one with all icons including my downloaded applications) so that i can organise my icons ? is there any standard fucntionality to do this or an app i can download ?
 
Hi deltacode, and welcome to the AC forums.

I don't think you can make folders in your main menu - that's just a list of all your apps. It's the same on Sense as it is on plain Android.

I'm not familiar with Sense UI (yet), and I'm not sure what you mean by "list of folders", but if you mean how do you delete the folder off your home screen, you long press (hold your finger down on for a couple of seconds) the folder, and then you can you drag it to the red remove/trash icon that appears at the bottom of the screen.

really need to organise that main menu, anybody else help ?
want to create a games folder and app folder to tidy things up.

To explain further:
I created a new folder on the home screen. then deleted it as you advised.
when i go to create a new folder on the home screen again, it gives me a list of folders name i can create including the one i created and deleted. I want to delete it from that list.

Also another question:
Is there a way of displaying the movie name when browsing under photos ?
 
Are you sure you can make folders in that menu at all? I've never seen that personally.

I don't know how to delete entries from the suggestion list. However, it is probably possible by clearing the data on one of the applications (like Sense UI maybe) in the Application settings in the settings menu. No telling what else that would clear though.
