Hi anyone have experience with this? I finished my meds in July and still don't feel good. When I touch my stomach it's tender. Any suggestions???

The damage (gastritis) caused by the H Pylori may take some time to heal even though the infection is gone.

Are you taking a proton pump inhibitor (Prilosec, Nexium, Prevacid, etc)?

Yes, I am taking Nexium, but it doesn't seem to be helping. See a gastro next week. Wondering if he will treat me again or want to do some test??

The treatment is effective about 80% of the time but since you're still having symptoms he might want to retest you for H Pylori. If you test positive for HP again they'll just restart with a different antibiotic for a second go round.


If you're not infected, he might want to change your PPI (nexium) to another type of antacid to see if that works better for you.

ppi's didnt help me either. still have the gastitis and the terrible gas it produces.

did you ever find any relief?
