howto SL42e -> SL45i

I have recently purchased a SL42e made for Orange. The firmware reads:
Version: 50
FR/EFR/HR
E4B9 A701
Nfv 20

How do I proceed to convert it to an SL45i?
What stuff do I need to backup?
Do I have to fiddle around with battery configuration?
I have a SL45i Sync station. Will it work for SL42e?

You can search on this thread about upgrade sl42 to sl45i, many post about this. You can upgrade your phone with the Synch Station.
