The books (I will shamefully admit that I have read two and a half of those miserable excuses for books)...
-TERRIBLE writing. Her first book wasn't even edited. She picks out like three "big words" in each book and uses them (incorrectly) over and over again. And she just comes across as stupid - honestly, who the he!l describes someone as having an "incandescent chest" and "scintillating arms"? That doesn't even make sense!
-Stephanie Meyer is a self-admitted novice when it comes to the subject of vampires, and knows nothing about them. Who writes a book about vampires when they have never even looked at ANY pre-existing vampire lore?
-Her sexually repressed characters represent nothing but lust and shallowness, and are terrible examples for young girls. Edward is a stalker, and the "love" between he and Bella is nothing more than crippling attachment based on physical attraction and...well...IS there anything else to their relationship? Not as far as I can tell.
-The really sad thing is, she has become a role model for a lot of preteens and younger teenage girls. What kind of an example is that? Her books have no substance, no creativity, and have characters that are unrealistic at best and terrible role models for young women. Bella is hardly more than a glorified "damsel in distress" in many respects. It's also depressing to think of anyone looking up to Stephanie Meyer for her "writing abilities", and trying to copy her "style". I hate to think of anyone following in her footsteps that way.
-Oh, also, VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE, YOU IDIOT (Meyer, not you xp) *ahem*...yes, that just had to be said.
The movies (which I have seen two of, because, honestly, I wanted a laugh - and I got one!)...
-Holy crap, I did not know it was possible to make the movies even MORE cheesy than the books, but they pulled it off! I can't believe they actually had a sparkly sound! That was, frankly, hilarious. I'm really amazed though...how can anyone take this crap seriously?
-Wow, Robert Pattinson can't act. He should also never, ever, ever be allowed to take his shirt off. Honestly, I had nightmares. *shudders*
-OH. MY. GOD. Cheesiest, stupidest slow-motion shots and close-ups on Edward's eyes. I had laughing fits. Honestly.
-Somebody got confused. These movies are obviously supposed to be comedies. Why aren't they marketed as such? ;p I honestly do think that someone working on those movies is just having fun with the stupidity of it all and taking every opportunity to add ridiculousness to them.
