Hows the AT&T service?

Just wondering if anyone can tell me how the AT&T service is? ESPECIALLY anyone in the New Jersey/Philadelphia area. Or anyone else in general.

Anyone here ever switched from Verizon to AT&T? Any way you could compare?

I am most likely, and very reluctantly going to switch from Verizon to AT&T. Im reluctant because I LOVE my Verizon phone. I have a LG VX8300, and have yet to find a flip phone through Verizon that compares.

Im also very happy with my service through Verizon here in the states.

The reason I am likely switching is because I am now involved with someone in England, and frequently travel there. And my Verizon DOES NOT WORK THERE. Verizon does have Global Phones, but they dont have any that even come close to a phone id like. They have like 4 to choose from.

So if anyone could give me a review of the ATT service, and if anyone around could compare it to Verizon for me, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

I've been with AT&T for 11 years now. I've used several cell phones in Europe with excellent reception and service. I started out with the motorola V60, V600 and Razr. I now own the AT&T 8525. I think for overseas service you can't go wrong with AT&T. IMO

I have been with AT&T then Cingular and now AT&T again. I have not had any problems with service and their billing has been accurate. The only complaint I have is the 2 year agreements. I feel I should be able to change phones more often at a reasonable price.
 
I just recently switched from Nextel to AT &T and I'm so happy I did. Places where my Nextel had no service, my Curve 8300 has FULL signal. I called customer service as I had a question with my plan, and all of my questions were answered in a timely, friendly manner and was not treated like I was a inconvenience for having questions. The internet loads pretty fast as well. I should have switched long ago!!
 
Overall AT&T has had better service in the big cities and out in the woods. Seems like heads and shoulders over SPrint. My Verizon friends complain when I'm getting better service. It is rare but Verizon does get better service in some smaller venues.

I'm sticking with AT&T.

I've been wondering the same thing because I am planning on switching phones for my daughter but I was going to go with the AT&T go phone plan. Just wondering how the service is though.
 
Great signal with AT&T. Yes MUCH better than SPrint over many different areas. Much better than Verizon in most areas. Each carrier does have some areas that they are lacking coverage.

At&T is doing okay by me. My contract wasd up, and everytime I call customer service they kiss butt...Otherwise I have no problem on my 8525.
