We're planning a BIG fishing trip the first weekend in March this year for 12-14 people (8-9 fishermen) and are wondering a) will the fishing be okay, b) will the ice be okay, and c) are there any spots on the lake that we can hit without paying a professional guide through the nose to bring us to? We are coming from central Minnesota (5-hour drive), and want to make this a fun outing for our group of friends but still manage to catch a few decent fish. We are planning on staying at Woodland Resort on Creel's Bay, so with pop-ups and snowmobiles would like to stay pretty close.....though we're willing to drive around the lake and hop on a different access if it's worth it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
