How'd you get your Wii? v. can't stop playing :o

i got mine on sunday. i was at work and someone said the eb in the mall had a shipment of 100, even for people without preorder. so i went at my lunch, waited for 40 minutes (i had a 30 minute lunch) and picked one up, i was surprised to get one actually, and it was more of an impulse buy since i couldn't get a ps3

your stories?
 
After the OSU Michigan game, I went 85 all the way to walmart on a highway. Ran in to the gameroom where the line was, and was 20 out of 20, a guy left to get food and I got his spot, he wasn't even mad...poser....
 
I bought mine from some guy yesterday, he got 4 on Sunday. He wanted $500. I talked him down to $350. And in Canada it went for $279. So he made maybe like $20-$30 off me.
 
Got to target at 2am, waited in the car for 3 hours and then went in line. Was 32 of 81 waiting in the snow.



That pile of Wiis and games really was a glorious site, especially with the the sun having just come up
 
got to target lil after 5am. was unofficially 60 of 60. when the manager came around to give tickets, i ended up being 59 of 60. guess someone left

from the time i left my apt, to the time i got back, was less than 4.5hr's.
 
My cousin is in line right now for one with a ticket.. So when I come back later this week. I get to join the Wii Crew.

My view for waiting for the wii..
 
Got to Target around 5:30am.

Fast foward a few hours and it's 7:30 then the store manager and a few of his workers come on and start handing out voucher tickets. Crowd goes WILD and all 60 are filled up just before opening time.

Me and my friend got tickets 49 and 50. Hehehehehe. It was kinda sad seeing all the folks come up at 8:00am only to be turned away at the last second.
 
me 2. amazon ftw, no tax. mine came at 8am right when I got to work. I had to sit at my desk with the wii stareing at me all day. it was rough.

I got in on the first round of preorders from Amazon.com, it showed up yesterday morning and my gf has put in way more hours than me at this point she's never played video games for more than about 10 minutes before now she's half way through raymans raving rabbids and kicking my ass at bowling. I'm pissed I couldnt get a second controller for my wii though. I just ordered one from amazon (because everyone is sold out) but it won't be here till fucking monday and I still need to find another nunchuck and a Wii Classic Controller.

my friends are all bugging me to have a wii party but it wold be pretty lame without 2 controllers.
 
went to target at 6:45 on sunday morning. handed out tickets a little before 7am. got #75 of 111. went home after i got my ticket to kill some time then headed back to the store at 8 when they opened
 
went to the huge local mall and everywhere was full with lines and all the wiis were already claimed.


was driving to sears when i saw the huge line in front of toys r us. i asked if they were all accounted for and one of the guys says they have a huuge shipment. 100+.

got there at 9am, store opened at 10. Was like 90th in line and got my slip. Was home by 1230. Easy.
 
Went to target at 12:30am, camped out until they passed out tickets at 7am, listening to all the assholes who got two of them at Walmart to sell on ebay.
 
Walked into EB Games thinking it was Game Stop. Guy named Al had one on hold for me at Game Stop. Guy at EB said i was at the wrong place but asked me if i wanted to buy one from him so i said sure, then walked over to Game Stop and bought a second one.

It was 11am too, i was surprised they had anymore
 
i got really lucky: i went all over the place on sunday morning and every place had a line that exceeded their shipment #s. i pretty much accepted defeat and figured i'd get one eventually, but a friend of mine told me that he waited overnight with some friends at a best buy and still had his pre-ordered wii waiting for him at gamestop, which he said i could buy. picked it up yesterday.
