How would you write an essay question in 3rd person, and how do you discuss and explore?

The subject is Parkinsons Disease. I have to write an introductory essay exploring the issues of diagnosis (up to 750 words). I have been told I have to discuss and explore, and write in the 3rd person. What does all this mean? Also does anyone know of a set essay structure I can follow. I just need someone to point me in the right direction, as our tutor says he doesn't want asking on how to do it!! - and I don't know how to start it all.
Please help.
