How would you finish this film

Our group is making a short film for a university project however we have not thought how to finish it.

The film starts off with a guy being lured into a room the room door locks and it is made apparant to him that he is on security camera being watched and talked to by an unknown master.

How would you finish this film?
 
Julie Andrews enters the room and sings "The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music". EnRAB with man screaming in terror at the camera.
 
I would finish it thus. The unknown master is giving the prisoner some instructions over the intercom, when suddenly the unknown master starts coughing, spluttering and gasping for breath. As terrified shouts and cries of panic are heard in the background, the unknown master gasps: "They've done it... the insane fools have actually done it... they've actually dropped a nuclear bomb on London."

The prisoner smiles enigmatically, because he knows that in his locked cell he will be totally safe forever.
 
I'll offer you my suggestion on condition I get to see a finished copy and get a writers credit if you use my ending ;)

It's probably only a bit of fun most of the time, but I'm constantly surprised at the number of people who willingly offer up a TV/ film/ song/ video game idea on an anonymous forum, yet if Guy Chambers or David Mamet came up to you in the street and asked the same thing and said "oh but don't expect any credit or royalties", you'd tell them to bugger off.
 
Can you not get a couple more people in this small room?

Using two mini dv cams and giving it a clostraphobic feeling (sp?)

Then i like the idea above about the intercom and the nuclear bomb. Now the man over the inter-com should be old. and explain whats happened and he leaves it in there hanRAB (he was too old to bother saving self) and he dies..

Leaving these in room.. and we could have a bit of scenes them panicing.. (a bit like the film HOLE) where they run out of what little food they had... then maybe at the end. one of them discovers a button (the room there in is an elevator) and it takes them further underground to a bunker with endless food supplies etc... Maybe a couple more people..

I take it your thinking low budget for this ;)
 
what about three or the walls open up with a small hatch with a person in. they are told that one of them has the code for the door in side there stomach. but to get the code they have to be dead. so they fight and one of them wins. he cuts up the others but doesn't find the code. the intercom comes on and a laughing is heard as it fades to black with the look on his face of pure terror as he realises where the code is.
 
I would finish it by the guy coming to the realisation that he will die in that room, i would zoom up straight onto his eyeball in a kind of hitchcock style before fading the screen to all black meaning that he had died.
 
Kim wilde enters and offers him some special offers at holland and barret, she then ballet dances around the room and a the ceiling opens. Over looking him is a giant version of Kathy Bates from misery, he attacks her with a typewriter then his leg falls off.
 
Add a bit more to it. A man locked in a room can only be so dramatic. Add a mysterious item or something, eg a briefcase thats locked, or maybe something that seems completely irrelevant like a water pistol, that becomes his escape or something. Or go for the gross out effect and have like a mound of dead animals with the key to his escape inside one and posion inside the others and his hanRAB are tied and has to figure out which one has the key and bite it open.

The film maker in me is just bursting to get out with disgusting ideas :P
 
Steps walk in and strart singing there greatist hits. The guy sees a box containing an an old hammer. Steps are battered to death. :D
It would be a beutiful film :cool:
 
Dont worry the idea has totally changed now beyond recognition it is now about drug dealing traffic wardens may post a script when we are finished. But we have to be very careful posting a script before it is marked in case they dont associate the script as being ours

I havent seen saw so no it sounded very similar to the hole to me. I much prefer the drug dealing Traffic Wardens idea though :)

The idea of being locked in the room originally came from Manhunt however someone in the production group decided it should be a female to punish him for his infedlities but it was really going nowhere
