How would you feel if the love of your life has a best friend of the opposite sex?

My girlfriend and I have been together for over 5 years and have a son together. She is an open and outgoing person, but she doesn't make friends well with females. She has become friends with a guy that she likes to hang around and talk with from time to time. (This guy is married.) Well I am having problems dealing with this even though I trust her. There is no signs of cheating. I've been in another relationship in my past where there was cheating and I know the signs. But with my current girlfriend those signs are not there and I totally trust her. She also says she has no problem with me hanging out with female friends. I guess in the long run I don't trust her friend even though I trust her. Should I be concerned? Do I need to get over myself? Am I being ignorant? Or What? By the way we are all in our 30's.
 
After five years and one child, why aren't you married? You're teaching your son to be an immoral person. Isn't this important to you? You're more concerned about your gf's friends. Get your priorities straight.
