Tulle...lots and lots of tulle. You can get it in bulke.

Drape it from each beam to the next. Maybe even put some twinkle lights in it.

I wouldn't. Unless you have a very large budget, just ignore the ceiling. It's not awful by any means, and no one will be looking up. People put too much thought (and money) into decor, when no one really notices it.

Put the money toward the food or photography.
