I'm doing a science project at my school. I am in charge of the SAT unit. My job is to find out how to get earth's raw materials and get them into space. I'm not quite sure how to do that
Many things can just be launched in a container. In orbit, they just stay in the container until needed.
It's the perishable things that need special treatment. Liquids, such as oxygen and hydrogen need insulation and other handling, but we know how to do that already as it's spaceship fuel.
Tell us more specifically what you mean, we'll think up better answers!
We will have to find what we need already up there. Ice in comets and on Mars would give us fuel and supplies to live. Comets may contain fuel like methane, Saturn's rings are ice, and its moon Titan has liquid lakes of hydrocarbons. Asteroids have metal. Moon has chemicals in rocks to make air and buildings. One could sling packages off the moon with a linear accelerator or rail gun. And some day men will make a "space elevator" as far as orbit.
