how would i open a restaurant business?

I know many restaurant businesses fail but I want to try it out.
I am in NYC and I want to someday open a fancy restaurant/lounge in Manhattan.

How would I go about doing it? Im not rich.

Do I take out a loan? What if the business fails?

please describe step by step. I really want to do this.
