...garden? I recently found an upright headstone in my garden. I would like to know if it is an actual grave. Short of excavation, how can I find out? Would a surveyor or landscape architect have ground radar or something?
Thanks everyone
BTW, I'm in England (Surrey to be specific)
It might help to know more about the origins of the headstone...not sure if anyone can help with this bit, but here goes: The headstone appears to be metal, but I'm not sure. I decided not to disturb it too much and will probably be able to see more once I trim back the ivy. It has cemetery symbolism including pax and a figure (possibly a saint?). It's possible that the name is under the art (it's not entirely above ground). It's also possible that it's two sided, but a fence borders it to the back.
Thanks everyone
