How would i be able to get a movie onto my Xbox 360?

The movie is on my laptop, and i would like it on my 360's hard drive for use.
 
You can only store movies downloaded from the video marketplace on the Xbox's harddrive.

If you want to watch your own movies, just put them on a FAT formatted USB drive and plug it into any USB port of the console and watch it from there.

I have a 500GB USB drive hooked to my console with movies and music on it
