For those Canadians who say "about" in a way that rhymes more closely with "a boat",
how would they write the American way of saying "about"?
would it be "Abaaaaaowwwwt"?
Also when the leg of a chair crashes down on your pinky toe...in the states you would say "OUCH!" or "OWWWWW my foot!!!!!
Would this interjection rhyme more with "boat" in Canada? Or is that vowel sound instinctive?
Or perhaps it's actually some of the First Nations People who have the strongest of this accent.
