How would a South American Needle fish (Xenentodon cancila) do in a brackish aquarium?

I have seen these fish at a local pet store and done a fair amount of research on them but cannot find anything about them and their tolerance to brackish environments other than "Some species of needle fish are brackish or marine" if anyone can shed some light on the situation I would appreciate it!
