How will I need to plan my education to become a sports commentator?

I am 15, and just about to start my first course of GCSE's.
When I am older I wish to be a football/ motor sport commentator for the BBC etc. Does anyone have any advice on how I can do this?
 
Perhaps you should become active sportsman in the discipline you wish to comment at least on an amateur level, so you shall get some first hand experience ! Than, after you have finished your studies as a journalist, you will know very well the subject you wish to comment. Best comments always come from the former athletes !
