I recently purchased a 2002 Dodge 2500 Cummins with about 139,000 miles on it. It broke down after 3 days, I pulled in to get some diesel and it wouldn't start back up. It was towed back to the dealership where they claimed I ran it out of fuel, which wasn't true. When I got it back I went on a hour long drive and the truck started chugging. I pulled over and turned it off for a few minutes. When I started it back up the chugging continued and the truck would not get up to speed, then it overheated. And again, I had it towed back to the dealership.
It turned out to be the computer. I got the truck back today and it occasionally starts acting weird. It will act like I let off the gas pedal when I haven't and then it will kick back in, it just lasts for a second or two. I've been told a vehicle we act differently while the new computer is learning the truck, but I just want to make sure this isn't another problem.
