I am considering buying a CBR 1000, and usually just travel close to home, but I like the Honda because its water cooled and I think that it should be fairly reliable. However, I am in the Army, and should I desire to ride to my parents house in Michgan from South Carolina, how much pain would I be in at the end of the trip? I am about 6'2, and 210. Am I too big for a CBR?

Sorry cap...but you would be in a lot of pain after a long trip on a sport bike. The riding position is not for comfort, it's for sport riding. I would even be sore after a 12+ hour ride on my goldwing, and it's like sitting on my couch! It's just simply a long ride. But you're not too big for the bike and they are reliable, well built bikes. You're just wanting cage comfort on two wheels and it doesn't go that way. Sorry!

I dont ride motorcycles, because im 16, but I am planning to ride once im 18, I dont know alot about motorcycles, but a CBR 1000 would not be small for you, its a 1000cc race bike dude, and that means I dont think comfort will be good for long trips, your back would probably hurt in 3 hours of straight riding, but I dont think your too big for the bike, ive seen bigger people in 600 yamaha's and GSXRS and Ninja riders the Philippines that are same sizes as you....hope this helps
