How was the Mona Lisa humanistic art?

I am writing an essay for my AP Euro class and need to write how humanism effected the Italian Renaissance art. I already have two examples but I need a third so I thought about writing a paragraph about Mona Lisa but i'm not quite sure how it is humanistic art. Does anyone know how I can write about it? Much thanks.
 
The Mona Lisa does not have religious iconography from the Catholic church which funded most artists' work at that time. Da Vinci painted her, not Mary, Jesus, or other christian figures.
