How underscore _ on Nokia Chat on the e63?

This is driving me crazy... On the e63 how to sign into chat if the email\login includes an underscore "_" ??
I see a lot of people are asking this on the net, but so far no solution ?

Its only the Chat program that comes pre installed that seems to be giving this problem so far.
