How to you convert DPI to PPI?

I asked the question if it mattered if things were dpi or ppi, I got two answers that yes it indeed mattered. Well all of my images specify a dpi, yet no ppi. Since it makes such a big difference I'm wondering how I'm going to go about making dpi as ppi. It makes such a huge difference yet I cannot set ppi anywhere in my images. The scanner specifies dpi, the jpegs specify dpi, the editing programs specify dpi.

How do I make them say ppi?

it sound like you asked a question and someone thats clueless made up an answer?



my understanding is if you look at your raw images you will see somewhere the PPI, once you start playing in PS or post resolution terms are used so instead of PPI we are doing DPI now,



to me they are they same just used at different times --- PPI is for out of the camera, DPI is for printing, i could be 100% wrong and thats fine knowing the diff if there is one between dpi and ppi doesnt matter to me,
