I need help with a letter for a judge for leniency before sentencing. A little over a month before he was arrested. He was diagnosis with biopolar. I was the victim and the cops came and he kicked one of them. I realized afterwards that it was more the disease than anything and dropped my charges the cops didn't. He is charged with 2nd degree assault for kicking an officer and looking at 1 to 6 years which is crazy. I need help. I don't want to make him look stupid because of his illness because some people think that. His meds were not in full working order. The dr. should have know that but I can not do anything about that now. All I can do is help by writing a letter. Please help me.
