How to weld a cars bodywork?

What type of steel should i use on a cars bodywork, its a toyota starlet. Also, does the cars paint work carry dangerous fumes, i will be welding outside so should i wear a respirator.

Im using a 95 amp gas less mig welder.
 
ur supposed to bare the paintwork, my friend.. not only for the tac, but cos of the fumes too.

odd jobbin, ive used old fridges and cookers before.. just make sure you get a good gauge of sheet.

i dont use respirators if i'm outside .. more importantly is the fask mask .. to protect u from instant "sun tan" .. but yeah.. go with the safety aspect and take ur time.
