A is the way

I'm just wondering if Google Chrome has a bookmark folder that actually save on my computer, much the same way internet explorer does. I ask because it's easier to look through a folder and delete the links I don't need anymore en masse than it is to constantly open a new tab, select Other Bookmarks, scroll past all of them to the one I want, right-click and delete, rinse, lather, repeat. Any tips?
