How to view files on Ascend- connecting to computer??

The manual for the Ascend is useless. It doesnt tell me anything about connecting the phone to the computer to view the files. When I connect it, all it does is ask me to view files or Pcfiles. Something comes up for some Udisk. But when it shows up in MY COMPUTER all it lets me see is the manual, theres nothing to vie...w the files on the SD Card or to view stuff I have transfered to the phone itself like wallpapers. Theres also no option in the phone itself to copy files to specific folders on the phone. Like if I wanted to put wallpapers into the Wallpaper folder, ect

Anyone know how to do this?
 
the "file manager " isnt that great so i removed it and replaced it with sufbs (su file manager and terminal) but astro is free from the market and works well as for file management wallpappers can be saved to the sd card in a folder and applyed from there so theres no need to copy anything to the phone its self and waste space
 
Once plugged into the computer, a message will come up on your phones notification bar asking your to "mount" your SD card. Do it and your phone will act like a drive itself letting you edit the files on your SD via your PC.
