How to use QXDM with SGH-ZX10

@TOG

I'm using it too . If you want a working UMTS phone/modem try ZTE MF600 from China. I know ZX10 will work also with a proper driver. Just got the SW yesterday and exploring it for further ****ysis. Did you tried QPST configuration for the comm port?

abamores,

Thanks for the reply. I tried to configure QPST. The first problem is that I have no serial COMM ports to the phone, only a modem port. This leads me to believe I'm not using the proper driver. I even have two types of cables. One is a straight USB and the other is a split cable with USB and DB9 on one end and the phone connector on the other. I tried both cables with no luck. The split cable DB9 plugs in COMM1 serial port, but QPST and QXDM do not recognize there is a phone connected to COMM1. Of course, the USB driver doesn't create a serial COMM port using either cables.

I'll check into getting a ZTE MF600, though I'd prefer a mobile phone since I'm measuring coverage and signal strength in homes and businesses. The LG CU515 does work with QXDM and maybe some other LG models will too.

Thanks again,

TOG

For samsung devices you need to use SERIAL TX and RX pins in cable for QXDM or QPST

Hi.

There is very easy to do it.

You must to set the phone in qualcom diagnostic. Set the DIAG & USB Configuration. To enter in the "engeniering mode" use *#9999*0#.

Best Regards.

thgis is not true, as far as i managed to use it with my z400 using only usb cable, what is moreyou can use it on usb cable high ports mine is 20, but it also works with com cable - com 1

what's the difference:

-using com you need no drivers [as far as z400 is concerned it auto-changes its' configuration to diag mode in uart]

-using usb you have to changfe the phone maually into qualcom diag mode
and you have the proper driver installed on your pc [qualcomm diag driver]

then use the newest qpst, and add port first

Has anyone been successful with this? using qualcomm gsm chipsets with qxdm? Does it have an OTA LOG? You can use it to sniff out phone numbers (Paging Channel) over the air. I've successfully doing it for CDMA phone, but don't have GSM phone to try/don't know which qualcomm model works.

But both are very old phones. probably is not easy to find in the market. Maybe with A706 or A707. Because the config is very similar. I connected an A706 in others programs.
