How to use EVDO with Cricket V3c and Mac OS X?

I am in Denver which is apparently an EVDO capable Cricket market. I have a PowerBook running Mac OS X 10.4.10, which has built-in Bluetooth.

I have a Motorola V3c from Cricket. When I *228 it, it updates fine and shows that it has EVDO capabilities ("dual 800/1900 CDMA 1X-EVDO").

I would like to use my phone to access EVDO with my PowerBook but am pretty clueless how to get it setup. I can connect over Bluetooth (I have updated my contacts with iSync) and I also have the USB cable, so I can use either connection.

In the Alltel section, they have these directions posted:

So I guess my question is what would my cricket user name and password be?

Thanks!

Um this has been posted MANY times before. If your using a cricket branded phone you cannot teather or use it as a modem as it has been disabled in the firmware. Get a flashed phone then you can teather.

OK, thanks for the update guys. I guess I thought we had EVDO considering there is support for it in the phone and there is a little "1X" logo beside the signal strength meter. I guess I was wrong. Thanks for the correction.
