K Karle New member Oct 17, 2009 #2 u dont need a engine code reader on anything pre 96......and yes u jump the A and B terminal and count the number of times the light flashes.... http://www.gmtuners.com/OBD1_DTC.htm that shud b ur codes if not just search obd 1 codes.....good luck
