ME vs. IE
The Nokia N73 Internet Edition contains all of the features of the Music Edition, but the multimedia key in the Music Edition goes straight to the music player. The Internet Edition retains the function of the original multimedia key where you can configure your own shortcuts to applications. They also included Windows Live Messenger and a few shortcuts to popular websites in the Internet folder. Otherwise, same as the Music Edition.

Not that I have a N73, but...

Be careful flashing to this -- based on another (non-S60) phone I have, those icons in the picture ("Hot!") etc. look like "China Mobile" branding. Typically it doesn't lock your handset, but it does clutter it with some branded hoohahs.

Read twice, flash once.

I flashed mine to the IE f/w. So far so good and the phone only freezes occasionally when I take lots of pictures unlike before. The only con i can think of is closing the music player. You'll need taskman to shut it off.

I can't get Nemesis to detect my phone! What can I do? When I install Nemesis it gives me options like F1 USB, Diamond, LTP, etc... Which should I pick and how do I get it to detect my phone? It says something about drivers, but the Nokia one is already installed. Any help please? I really REALLY want the ME edition. Thanks.

So I have two questions. Which Windows Live app are they using, is it the same I found last month from the Microsoft China site?

And second, why would anyone use that. All the apps they added are free downloadable ones.

For one, apparently it gives you the Music Edition media player but also lets you program the Media Key like in the non-Music Edition.

I for one am perfectly happy with my Music Edition.

2 things that I noticed have changed in Internet Edition.

1. The phone fonts have changed, hate this new fonts
2. The short cut key of # that's used for changing between profiles does no longer work.

Any one else noticed the same thing?

I'm sure there's more but I've just updated my n73 to internet edition and haven't got around to playing with it yet.

oh one thing that's missing from internet edition, there's no new msn messenger installed on the phone?
