how to understand number of users and files?

ok, one more question
couple of numbers in emule status bar like this:

Users:3.1M(1.4M)|Files:321.5M(1.4G)

why they use two numbers represent one thing? what do the numbers mean in bracket?
 
I think your referring to the server status...
Thats roughly how much users & files(totalsize) are indexed by that particular server your on
