I have a 1979 ford F150 with a factory 460 big block in it. (yes it is factory, it was special ordered) anyhow I have been contemplating the process on how to turbocharge it, what sort of maintenance would be involved, and just overall what I would need to do. I know I would need to upgrade the carb to the "blow through"? carb or some sort of double pumper.
I was also looking at stroking it out to a 545 before throwing a turbo in the mix.... Please let me know your thoughts and opinions
What could I do to the drive-train? Right now I have a c6 tranny that I was hoping to add a 4th gear to, along with a 2000rpm stall converter. The stroker kit would come with forged pistons, rods, crank shaft...etc I was also looking to order the ford racing super cobra just heads
