How to treat an injured fish?

I'm real sorry to be the one to tell you, the guy is done. I can only offer a word of advice? In the future change 25 % of the water every two weeks, I feel your pain, but this one suggestion could save a lot of fish.

I have a dwarf gourami and he is lying down on the bottom of the tank moving occasionall but it looks as if his body is bent in the middle. I have a 14 galllon tank with one other dwarf gourami and a chinese algae eater. is the fish likely to survive or can i treat it with something?

it is possibyly nitrate shock...

NOT SURE... but may be a liquid chlorohphyl bath may help him... it is more than likely to die... but at least u can try....

metabolic rate may also hold the key here... but very little chance as it sounds
