How to train for a V02 max test?

i'm very fit and in great shape but i've never done a vo2 max test before and i have one coming up for the canadian forces, i'm sure i'll be fine but i'd still like to prepare for it, i'm just not sure what to expect, if u've done it do u have any tips on how to train for it? i currently do hiit (high intensity interval training) and i know that will help me with the vo2, is there anything else i can do to make my training more intense?
