How to test for statistical difference?

My professor is asking me to show the statistical difference between a single column of data in excel. I'm not exactly sure what that means. Are the numbers statistically different from eachother and not just random? How do I test for this?

example:
Mean Hours Spent Studying
2.0
2.7
3.1
2.3
1.7
2.1

A p-value is needed, yes?
