How to tell if my fish has ick?

Yesterday I got two new mollies, a black and a white. How do you tell if they have Ick? The black one, I cant tell if it the reflection of the stones or if her gills are whiteish. And the white one has white spots, but the pictures online show that is normal? They are both eating fine, they are actually a bit piggish.
If I were to put Ick treatment in the water would it hurt my other fish? Two small algae eaters two sunburst mollies and four neon tetras.
This is my first fishtank, and I just want to make sure they are all okay.
Are there any other signs? Because my fish is white so how can you tell if it has white spots?
 
all black mollies have white gills. ick looks like little grains of sand or salt, usually visible on your fishes tail or fins. it is possible for you to treat your tank without hurting your fish, if you just want to make sure. you will need to buy some quick cure. it is the best. because of your tetras you may need to do 2 half doses instead of one. quick cure can be found at walmart. just make sure to follow the instructions on the bottle. the sooner you act the Better because ick grows worse until you eliminate it for good. good luck
 
Ich/Ick
A parasite that is mainly caused by stress. A salty look to it, like a grain of sugar or salt.
Is your fish active? If he has ich, he won't be for long!
If it really bothers you, buy tablets and put about 1/4 of the tablet in.
