When I was 18 in 2004 I got a ticket for minor in possession of alcohol. I wasn't drinking, and there was no breathalyzer administered. It was two cops in street clothes and they wrote the ticket for the 31st of a month that had no 31st...I was 18 and couldn't. afford to pay it. So I ignored it and forgot about it. Well, in November 2010 i got a letter stating that I was now issued a warrant arrest and my license is suspended. A 280 dollar ticket is now 1800. It has almost been 8 years and I could now afford 280. But 1800 dollars! SERIOUSLY! What are some of my options on taking are of this? Please help!
No I was not i was possession of the alcohol. I was sun bathing on my friends truck at the beach on memorial weekend. Some guy came up to talk to me and set him beer down on the tail gate and walked away. An unmarked with two cops in street clothes pulled up...Without asking us anything anything just sited us. I didnt talk to the other girl after it happened...So i don't know what came of her ticket. Anyway.....why would they wait so long to inform me?
