I need to store my 8x10 prints (the kind I printed the old fashioned way with film and chemicals) and I was wondering if I could just use regular paper sleeves from officemax or something for regular paper? Or is there something special in photo sleeves?

There are various methods according to the level of your demand :
1) In an Album
2) Store in a plastic folder and make an album of it.
3) Laminate on one side and use any of the above two.
4) Laminate both sides, along with a thin hard board, then you may even diplay on a wall
5) However, before you scan the photos, work over each and every one of them through photoshop or pictureproject or any other program, and store it on your hard disk with necessary corrections.
