how to stop crickets chirping outside garden?

I have read articles on web how to stop this annoying noise all night ,so please response if you know something that really works.My problem is 2 crickets chirping all night outside on a tree in my backyard.I go out with flashlight ,can't see anything,use ant killer spray on branches,they still come back,wash them with water jet, will come back,I don't want to cut the tree down !! Can someone help me ?I use earplugs to sleep every night !
